Biscoff - Delta Airlines

If you have flown Delta Airlines in recent years, you have been probably snacked on Biscoff. They are a crispy graham cracker-ish treat (actually a carmelized biscuit)that remind me of potato chips because you cannot eat just one!
For the past six or seven years, I was a regular on Delta. In fact, on average six flights per week. For my loyal patronage, I was always given complimentary first class upgrades and rarely had to fly coach. In first class, the Biscoff cookie is offered from the time you first sit down until the time you leave. Given my penchant for food, I would find myself chatting about this snack and learned (thanks to a bored flight attendant) to squirt lime juice on the cracker and it is somewhat akin to a slice of Key Lime Pie!
The first class cabins are always stocked with limes and unlike coach, the flight attendants are always able to chat. On this particular flight (Los Angeles to Atlanta), we decided that fresh lime juice, a can of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk and Biscoff could be the ultimate trio.
On a Delta Connection flight, my colleague, Jason McDonell, happened to joke with the flight attendant about my love of Biscoff. Well, she handed me an entire sleeve of individually wrapped crackers… almost 100. This was an awesome gift… only a true foodie would consider an airline snack as a great gift!
Biscoff makes for a great gift, check out their website. I gave a large tin of Biscoff to my friend, Grigor Hasted, when he returned to the development office of his alma mater, Hillsdale College. Prices are extremely reasonable and perfect for the executive that has everything.

I’ve had those on some flights and loved them. I’ve bought them at Walgreens.
Walgreens… I had no idea they were sold there.
I am convinced that Biscoff would make an excellent crust to a Key Lime Pie. What do you think?
As a Continental frequent flyer and member of their President’s Club, I can report that Biscoff cookies are sometimes part of Continental’s inflight meals or snacks and also are available in their President’s Club rooms.
I just bought a package of these at…are you ready…WalMart! They were in the cookie section.
Yes, I think they would make a delicious crust for a Key Lime Pie.
Or…a Key lime trifle. Make a pudding out of the filling (cook a vanilla base and add the key lime juice…and rind. Layer these crackers in between the pudding and top with real whipped cream in a large trifle bowl (or in individual parfait glasses).
Chill overnight.
Betcha still can’t just eat one!
I just flew to florida and had this snack on the flight….I AM hooked
Thanks to the comments here, I will be making a trip to my local wal-mart and/or walgreens TODAY!!!
I am also very interested in this key lime pie/trifle idea….
p.s….My loving husband also gave me his cookies because i was raving about how good they were….I NOT a typical cookie eater and he is…On the flight home he also gave me his. (my poor husband NEVER did try this cookie!)
I am on a mission to find this cookie so he can also have one….& I can have some…hehehe….. I think he will be hooked also
