Help Texas: Day #1 Getting Started

In the midst of tragedy some folks spring into action, some are paralyzed by fear, and some wander aimlessly waiting to be led. Times of crises are defining chapters where the best, and worst, are made known.
The State of Texas needs assistance, and our faithful prayers. Take a break from your busy day and reflect on your blessings, and ask God to help those in Texas who are in desperate need.
An urgent need in any disaster is cash.
Today, go online to the Salvation Army or Red Cross and give to their disaster relief efforts. These immediate donations will serve to bolster the rapidly draining coffers to these fine organizations that are always there in times of emergency.
Enlist your children to join in and give a ‘noisy’ donation – scavange the house and car for loose change. Yes, those pennies do add up! No need to actually count it, just fill a jar or Ziplock bag.
